You may not sell or modify the content of this website or reproduce, display, publicly perform, distribute, or otherwise use the materials in any way for any public or commercial purpose without the respective organisation's written permission.

Acceptable Website Use

Security Rules — Visitors are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the website, including: accessing data not intended for such user; attempting to probe or test the vulnerability of a system or network; attempting to interfere with service to any user, host or network; or sending unsolicited electronic mail. Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability.

General Rules — Visitors may not use the website to transmit, distribute, store or destroy material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, infringe intellectual property rights of others, violate the privacy of others, or that is defamatory, pornographic, threatening, abusive or hateful.

Indemnity

The User unilaterally agrees to indemnify and hold harmless, without objection, the Company, its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, actions, liabilities, losses or damages whatsoever arising from or resulting from their use of trekkaro.com or their breach of these terms.

Liability

User agrees that neither Company nor its group companies, directors, officers or employees shall be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, use or data or other intangible, even if Company has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

User further agrees that Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from interruption, suspension or termination of service. In no event shall Company's total liability to the User for all damages exceed the amount paid by the User to Company, if any, that is related to the cause of action.

Disclaimer of Consequential Damages

In no event shall Company or any parties, organisations or entities associated with the corporate brand name, mentioned at this website, be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitations, incidental and consequential damages, lost profits, or damage to computer hardware or loss of data or business interruption) resulting from the use or inability to use the website and its material, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

Insurance

It is a requirement of trekking with Trekkaro that you obtain full travel insurance cover. You are required to have cover that includes full medical cover, emergency repatriation and emergency evacuation. We also strongly recommend trek cancellation insurance and cover against flight cancellations or delays, loss of baggage, theft, or trip interruption at the time of booking. Travel insurance can be obtained through a travel agent or from online brokers. Please contact us for any further information or advice.

At Trekkaro, we believe the right gear shouldn't be a barrier to the mountains. That's why we introduced the Free Trekking Gear (FTG) program — a world-first initiative that equips every trekker with professional-grade mountain gear at absolutely no rental cost.

What's Included in Your Free Trekking Kit

Every FTG kit includes everything you need to trek safely and comfortably:

How the FTG Program Works

1. 1Available on Select Trek Dates: Free Trekking Gear is available exclusively on designated FTG-enabled trek dates. Check your preferred trek's listing to confirm availability before booking.
2. 2Refundable Security Deposit + One-Time Washing Fee: To ensure the gear stays in great condition for every trekker, a ₹3,000 refundable security deposit per person is collected at the time of booking, along with a ₹200 hygiene/washing charge. The washing charge is refunded in full if you cancel before the trek begins, and is non-refundable once the gear has been issued.
3. 3Full Refund After Your Trek: Your ₹3,000 security deposit is returned in full to your bank account within 7 working days after your trek concludes — provided the gear is returned without loss or damage.
4. 4Damage & Loss Policy: We trust our trekkers to treat shared gear responsibly. In the event of damage or loss, a penalty proportional to the extent of damage will be deducted from the security deposit.
5. 5Policy Updates: Trekkaro reserves the right to revise the Free Trekking Gear policy at any time. We recommend reviewing this page before booking for the most current terms.

TrekCash Policy

TrekCash is Trekkaro's exclusive rewards currency — designed to help trekkers earn cashback, unlock savings, and make every Himalayan adventure more rewarding. By earning or redeeming TrekCash, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. Overview

TrekCash is Trekkaro's proprietary cashback and rewards currency, available exclusively to registered users on Trekkaro.com. It is the smarter way to earn while you trek and save on your next mountain escape.

2. Earning TrekCash

1. →TrekCash can be earned up to ₹2,500 per user through eligible trek bookings made on Trekkaro.com.
2. →The amount of TrekCash credited per booking is subject to the applicable offer or promotion active at the time of booking.
3. →TrekCash will be credited to your TrekCash Wallet on your Trekkaro account upon successful booking confirmation.

3. Redemption of TrekCash

1. →TrekCash can be redeemed against any trek booking made on Trekkaro.com via desktop or web browser only. Redemption via mobile app or third-party platforms is currently not supported.
2. →A maximum of ₹500 worth of TrekCash can be redeemed per booking. Any remaining TrekCash balance will stay in your TrekCash Wallet for future use.
3. →TrekCash can only be redeemed after 30 days from the date of issue. Redemption attempts before this activation window will not be processed.
4. →TrekCash cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred to a bank account, or exchanged for any monetary equivalent.

4. TrekCash Wallet & Expiry

1. →All earned TrekCash is stored in your personal TrekCash Wallet, accessible via your Trekkaro account dashboard.
2. →TrekCash carries a validity of 6 months from the date of issue, after which it expires automatically and cannot be recovered or reinstated.
3. →It is the user's responsibility to track their TrekCash balance and expiry dates. Trekkaro will not be liable for any expired TrekCash.

5. Transferability

1. →TrekCash is strictly non-transferable and is linked to the individual Trekkaro account to which it was issued.
2. →TrekCash cannot be gifted, shared, sold, or transferred to any other user or account under any circumstances.

6. Cancellation & Forfeiture

1. →Trekkaro reserves the right to cancel, reverse, or forfeit all or part of the TrekCash credited to any user's account at any time, without prior notice, at its sole discretion.
2. →TrekCash may be cancelled in cases including but not limited to: fraudulent activity, policy violations, duplicate accounts, or misuse of the rewards program.
3. →In the event of a trek cancellation or refund, TrekCash earned on that booking may be reversed as per Trekkaro's cancellation policy.

7. Dispute Resolution

1. →In case of any discrepancy, dispute, or disagreement related to TrekCash earning, redemption, expiry, or cancellation, Trekkaro's decision shall be final and binding.
2. →Users may raise a dispute by contacting Trekkaro's support team with relevant booking details within 30 days of the transaction in question.

8. Policy Amendments

1. →Trekkaro reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the TrekCash program, in whole or in part, at any time without prior notice.
2. →Continued use of TrekCash constitutes acceptance of the most current version of this policy.
3. →Users are advised to review TrekCash terms periodically before making bookings.

Cancellation Policy

We know that cancelling a trek can be genuinely disappointing. Plans change, life intervenes, and sometimes the mountains have to wait. That is exactly why Trekkaro has designed one of the most trekker-friendly cancellation policies in the industry — to reduce the financial impact on you and give you real options when things do not go as planned.

How to Cancel Your Trek

Booked online on trekkaro.com:

1. 1Log in and open My Bookings.
2. 2Choose Cancel Booking on the trek you want to cancel.
3. 3Pick a refund (as per the charges below) or Get TrekCash Voucher instead — the voucher is issued instantly and appears under My TrekCash Vouchers.

Booked offline with our team:

1. 1Compose an email from the registered email ID used at the time of booking.
2. 2Attach a copy of your tax invoice to the email.
3. 3Send both to: info@trekkaro.com
4. 4Your cancellation is effective from the date Trekkaro receives and acknowledges your email.

How to Reschedule Your Trek (Free)

You can move your booking to another batch of the same trek free of charge, on the following terms:

1. →Once per booking: each booking can be rescheduled free of charge one time. A request that Trekkaro declines does not count, and you may choose another batch.
2. →Up to 7 days before departure: both your current batch and the new batch must be at least 7 days away when you make the request.
3. →Subject to seat availability: the new batch must have a seat for every trekker on your booking.
4. →Not for TrekCash Voucher bookings: bookings paid fully or partly with a TrekCash Voucher cannot be rescheduled.
5. →Same booking, same price: no fee or price difference is charged for a free reschedule. Add-ons and the number of trekkers stay as booked.

Booked online on trekkaro.com:

1. 1Log in and open My Bookings.
2. 2Choose Reschedule free on your booking and pick an available batch.
3. 3Our team reviews the request and confirms by e-mail. Your booking moves to the new batch only after it is approved; until then your current batch remains confirmed.

Booked offline with our team: e-mail info@trekkaro.com from your registered e-mail ID with your booking details and preferred batch.

Cancellation Charges

Free rescheduling or a 100% voucher instead of a refund. At any time from the date of booking until 7 days before departure, you can reschedule to another batch free of charge (once per booking, subject to seat availability), transfer your booking to another trekker, or take a TrekCash Voucher worth 100% of the amount paid, valid for 1 year — whichever refund slab would otherwise apply. Online bookings take the voucher themselves from My Bookings → Cancel Booking (issued instantly); offline bookings request it by e-mail to info@trekkaro.com.

Cancellation of Voucher-Based Bookings

1. 1The standard cancellation policy applies to voucher-based bookings in the same way it applies to direct bookings.
2. 2Any remaining balance after the applicable cancellation charge has been deducted will be credited back to your Trekkaro account as a new voucher.
3. 3If your voucher has already expired at the time of cancellation, no refund, credit, or extension will be issued under any circumstance.
4. 4If a voucher is set to expire on a Sunday or public holiday, it must be redeemed before the expiry date. Vouchers are considered expired from that date regardless of whether it was a working day.

Additional Terms

1. →Free Rescheduling: Switching to a different batch of the same trek is free of charge once per booking, up to 7 days before departure, subject to seat availability. Not available for bookings paid with a TrekCash Voucher. See “How to Reschedule Your Trek” above.
2. →Trek Transfers: Transferring your booking to another person is permitted, subject to Trekkaro's eligibility criteria. The new trekker must meet fitness, age, and documentation requirements for that particular trek.
3. →No Refund Post-Commencement: Once the trek has commenced from Day 1 of your confirmed itinerary, no refunds or TrekCash Vouchers will be issued for any reason, including early exit, illness, or dissatisfaction with services.
4. →Policy Changes: Trekkaro reserves the right to amend or withdraw this cancellation policy at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of your booking confirmation governs your booking.

Early Exit or Removal from Trek

In certain circumstances, a trekker may be required to leave the trek before completion. These include:

1. →Health Concerns: AMS, hypertension, cardiac symptoms, or physical fitness that poses a safety risk to the individual or group.
2. →Rule Violations: Consumption of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs on trail, smoking in prohibited zones, reckless behaviour, or misconduct toward fellow trekkers or staff.
3. →Voluntary Exit: A trekker's personal decision to leave the trek at any point after commencement.

If Trekkaro Cancels Your Trek

In rare circumstances beyond our control — natural disasters (extreme snowfall, avalanche, floods, landslides, earthquakes), or unforeseen civil events (government curfews, lockdowns, political unrest) — Trekkaro will issue a TrekCash Voucher for the full trek fee paid.

1. →Voucher Value: 100% of trek fee paid
2. →Validity: 12 months from date of issuance
3. →Applicable to: Any trek listed on Trekkaro.com at time of redemption
4. →Price Difference: If the new trek costs more than the voucher value, the difference is payable by the trekker
5. →Issuance: Within 10 working days, sent to the registered email on file
6. →Transfer: Vouchers may be transferred to another person provided they meet Trekkaro's eligibility requirements

Refund Processing

1. →Processing Time: Within 10 working days of cancellation approval by Trekkaro
2. →Credit to: Original payment method only (credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, or wallet)
3. →Bank Processing: Additional 3–5 business days may apply depending on your bank
