Trekkaro was founded by two brothers — Vivek Varun and Sudhanshu Varun. Vivek holds a B.Tech from IIT, New Delhi. Sudhanshu completed his MBA from Garhwal University. Between them, they had the analytical framework to understand a broken market and the business architecture to fix it. What they also had — which no degree programme teaches — was a shared obsession with the Himalayas that started long before either of them had a qualification to their name.

They watched too many people who genuinely wanted to trek the Himalayas never get there — not because of fitness, not because of time, but because the gear cost alone ran to ₹35,000–₹50,000 before a single booking was made. That was the problem they set out to solve.

That's why Trekkaro isn't just another trekking company. We are the world's first Free Trekking Gear (FTG) company — and that has completely changed the trekking scenario in the country. Today, Trekkaro runs because of a team that spans NIM-certified trek leaders, sweep guides, kitchen staff, gear coordinators, operations managers, medical-trained support crews, and the local mule teams who have worked these routes for years. The founders set the standard. The team holds it — every trek, every batch, every trekker.

Our safety infrastructure goes far beyond a basic first-aid kit — we carry portable oxygen cylinders on the move, deploy emergency stretchers at every campsite, run daily SpO₂ and pulse checks to catch AMS before it becomes a crisis, and maintain real-time HF Radio Communication across our entire team because mobile signal above 10,000 feet is not a plan.
