The air turns crisp as you gain altitude, and the tranquil forest atmosphere wraps around you in serene silence, occasionally broken by birdsong or rustling leaves. After about 4–5 hours of trekking through these enchanting woodlands, you’ll reach Juda Ka Talab, a picturesque alpine lake that’s often partially frozen in winter.

Q3. What level of fitness is required for Kedarkantha?
A3. Basic fitness is sufficient, such as being able to walk 4–5 km per day with a small backpack, but having good stamina and leg strength makes the trek more enjoyable, especially on steeper or snowy sections.
Q4. How cold does the Kedarkantha trek get?
A4. Temperatures range from 10°C during the day to -8°C at night. Lower camps are moderate, while higher camps and the summit may have snow. Layered clothing is essential for daytime hikes and cold nights.
Q5. How far do we walk each day on the Kedarkantha trek?
A5. Trekkers typically cover 4–5 kilometers daily in 5–6 hours. The gradual ascent and easy terrain make walking comfortable for most participants.
Q6. Who will lead the trek and accompany us?
A6. A certified trek leader guides the group, supported by assistant guides, local staff, and porters/mules who manage logistics, ensuring safety and a smooth trekking experience.
Q7. What is the group size for the Kedarkantha trek?
A7. Fixed departures usually have 6–24 trekkers, while private treks can accommodate any group size. This ensures safety, coordination, and a comfortable trekking experience.

A8. The safety of female trekkers is our top priority. We always strive to create a safe and friendly environment on all our treks. Our guides and support staff are carefully selected, trustworthy, and reliable. While we take every measure to ensure your security, we also recommend keeping your personal belongings safe.

A11. After booking, Trekkaro provides a comprehensive essentials checklist, covering clothing, footwear, gear like backpacks and trekking poles, and personal items such as toiletries, medicines, and ID proof.
Q12. I am unable to carry my luggage; can someone carry it for me?

Q13. What kind of shoes and jacket should I buy?
A13. At Trekkaro, you don’t need to spend on buying or renting costly trekking gear. • Shoes (worth Rs. 6,999)

• Insulated Jackets (-10° C) (worth Rs. 3,299)

This ensures every adventurer, whether first-time or experienced, can enjoy the mountains without the financial burden of buying expensive gear. It's trekking made accessible, safe, and seamless.

1. Gear Built for the Mountains

Our high-performance tents and sleeping bags are engineered for extreme alpine conditions.

• Sleeping Bags: Designed to endure temperatures as low as -5°C to -20°C

• Tents: Provide additional insulation and wind protection for a warm, secure rest each night

We are always prepared for unpredictable mountain weather — and encourage trekkers to share any safety concerns with our team for quick support.

2. Health Monitoring: Daily Oxygen & Pulse Checks

Your well-being is our priority. For high-altitude treks, we conduct daily oxygen saturation and pulse monitoring (as needed) before and during the trek.

This proactive step helps us:

• Detect early signs of altitude sickness

• Make informed decisions for your safety

• Ensure every trekker remains fit and comfortable throughout the journey

3. Emergency Support & Medical Backup

  • Oxygen Cylinders & Medical Kit:

Altitude affects everyone differently. Our guides are equipped with portable oxygen cylinders and essential first-aid medicines for immediate use in case of altitude-related symptoms.

Tip for trekkers: Stay physically prepared — activities like running, cycling, and swimming greatly improve endurance at high altitudes.

  • Stretchers at Every Campsite:

In case of emergencies or injuries, stretchers are available at all campsites, ensuring a safe and swift evacuation to base camp for further care.

  • Radio Communication Across Camps:

Cell networks can be unreliable in the mountains. To bridge the gap, our camps and guides stay connected via a dedicated radio communication system, ensuring quick response in cases of bad weather, missing items, or medical needs.

4. Technical Support on Snowy Slopes

For treks involving snow-covered or technically challenging terrain, our trained technical team is deployed to assist. They ensure:

• Proper route safety

• Emergency handling

• Support in difficult sections like icy slopes or narrow ridgelines

The air turns crisp as you gain altitude, and the tranquil forest atmosphere wraps around you in serene silence, occasionally broken by birdsong or rustling leaves. After about 4–5 hours of trekking through these enchanting woodlands, you’ll reach Juda Ka Talab, a picturesque alpine lake that’s often partially frozen in winter.

Safety

At Trekkaro, we redefine the trekking experience with our Free Trekking Gear (FTG) initiative — a game-changer in the adventure travel industry. We equip our trekkers with top-tier trekking gear at zero additional cost, including premium Decathlon products like:

• Shoes (worth Rs. 6,999)

• Insulated Jackets (-10° C) (worth Rs. 3,299)

• Trekking Poles (worth Rs. 1,299)

With Trekkaro, you’re always in safe and experienced hands — so you can focus on what truly matters: the adventure of a lifetime.

• Mobile Network – Sankri

Sankri is the last location with a stable mobile signal, and even here, only Jio works consistently. Please complete all important calls and inform your family about limited connectivity during the trek. Once you leave Sankri, mobile signals are generally unavailable.
