Best Time to VisitThe best months to do the Bali Pass trek are from May to June and from September to October.
Bali Pass trek with Trekkaro, participants will need to report to Sankri by 5 PM. Sankri is a picturesque town situated in the Govind Pashu National Park in Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand. It is approximately 200 km away from Dehradun, and can be reached by private taxi in about 8 hours or by bus in about 9 hours. Trekkaro will provide dinner and accommodation for the night at a comfortable guest house or homestay.
The cab will be arranged at an additional cost from Dehradun Railway Station to Sankri at 6:30 AM. Cost of the Cab- Rs. 6,500/- per vehicle (One Way)
On the second day of the Bali Pass trek, we will start early with a one-hour drive from Sankri to Taluka in a taxi. After breakfast, we will begin our trek to Seema Camp (2560 M) with packed lunch. The trek will take us through dense forests of chestnuts, walnuts, willows, chinars, and various conifer trees, with a few waterfalls along the way. You can choose to take the steep climb of Dhaatmeer village or trek along the Karmanasha stream, both of which meet at Gangaar village. We will reach Seema Campsite by late afternoon and spend the night in tents.
On Day 3 of the Bali Pass trek, we will continue our journey along the Supin river. Our first stop will be at Debshu Bugyal, where we can take in the breathtaking view of Kala Nag or Black Peak. From there, we will descend through a forest with loose stones and sandy paths until we reach the river. We will cross the Supin river via a bridge and then ascend again, with the river now on our right. Be prepared for a few tricky sections with slippery paths where we may need to take a detour. We will trek alongside the river until we reach our campsite, which is located right by the river. We will spend the night in our camps and rest up for the next day's adventure.
We will continue our journey along the Supin river and arrive at Ruinsara Tal in the afternoon. This picturesque lake is surrounded by lush meadows and vibrant rhododendron bushes. While the trail is not too challenging, it can be tiring. However, our campsite is worth the effort as we will have the opportunity to stay in cozy wooden huts instead of tents. The campsite offers stunning views of the tiny lake of Ruinsara on one side and the Supin River on the other. The south-west of Ruinsara Tal leads to Yamuna Kanta, a difficult trek that takes you to Yamunotri. To the east, we will be greeted by the majestic Banderpooch Peak (6,387 m). The views of Dhumdhar Kandi (5,873 m) to the east, and Kala Nag (6,387m) and White Peak (6,102m) to the south-east are simply breathtaking.
We will embark on a short and easy 4 km trek. The journey begins with a descent through dense vegetation to the Supin river. After crossing the river via a bridge, we will ascend to a small meadow and continue southeast along the river. As we trek for approximately 3 km, the trail will eventually turn southwest. After walking for another kilometre, we will reach our campsite at Odari. This site is named after a naturally formed rock cave where Bali, Hanuman's brother, is said to have stayed for one night according to folklore. The views from the campsite are breathtaking, with crystal clear views of Swargarohini 1 & 2 in the northeast. In the latter half of the day, participants will have the opportunity to attend learning sessions on techniques that may be useful in the upcoming days of the trek.
On Day 6 of the Bali Pass trek with Trekkaro, the group will embark on a challenging hike to the base camp. The trail leads southwest and follows a mountain ridge with a steep 60 degree incline and loose stones. It's important to stay active and hydrated to prevent AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) as the group will be camping at a height of 4678 Metre. The subzero temperatures at this altitude make the trek even more difficult, and acclimatization takes longer. The group will spend the night in camps at the base camp.
We will face our biggest challenge yet as we cross the Bali Pass at 4950 meters and make our way to Lower Dhamni, our final campsite. We will begin our trek early in the morning, around 6 AM, and head southeast towards the pass. The trail will be long and difficult, with snow covering the path and requiring the use of techniques we learned earlier. It will take us 2-3 hours to reach the pass from our base camp. Once we reach the pass, we will be rewarded with stunning 360-degree views of Swargarohini, Banderpooch, Garhwal ranges, and the Yamnotri valley. However, the most challenging part of the trek is yet to come. We will descend through a nearly vertical path filled with scree and large stones, followed by the goat route, which is a narrow and irregular path that requires mental preparation. After this difficult leg, we will rest at Upper Dhamni before continuing on to Lower Dhamni. The path can be confusing, so it's important to stay with your trek leader and team.
We will begin our journey through the forest before merging onto a cemented path. The trail is 4.5 km long with a mild ascent up to Yamunotri, which should take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach. Once we arrive at Yamunotri, you can take a dip in the Sulphur hot water springs to soothe any pain in your legs. Afterward, we will take the regular pilgrims' route to Janki Chatti, which is around 5 km away. From there, we will board the waiting vehicle and drive to Dehradun for an overnight stay in a hotel.
There is a possibility of using a buffer day. In the event that the buffer day is needed due to weather conditions, trekkers will be required to pay Rs 2100 plus 5% GST. This fee will only be collected by the Trek Leader if the buffer day is used, and the decision will be made based on the trek leader's assessment of the weather conditions.
You’ll be back in Dehradun by 8 pm. Please factor in the buffer day in your travel plans – book your onward journey from Dehradun only after 9 pm on Day 9.

Trekkaro team will specifically ensure your safety with...
1. Daily oxygen saturation & pulse reading (if required in trek) We do treks which have a different environment than our daily life. We live in an environment where we less care about a healthy lifestyle. When it’s come to doing treks or surviving in a not-so-pure environment for more than a day our body should accept the changes. Oxygen saturation is the fraction of [oxygen]-saturated hemoglobin relative to total hemoglobin in the blood. So we ensure the specific balance of oxygen in your blood. Our team ensures the health condition by oxygen saturation and pulse reading before trekking so everyone should aware of their health.
2. Oxygen cylinders and medical kit When it comes to high-altitude trek the body doesn't get enough oxygen. It’s not always that you cannot survive in high-altitude treks but for a safer side if your body is not adjusted to the environment we are always ready with the oxygen cylinders. Our team member carries the portable oxygen cylinder and all the basic medicines on the trek.
To prevent high altitude conditions - do more exercise, cycle, and swim. The more you practice it’ll easier for you.
3. Stretchers on every campsite Although we are physically and mentally ready for the environment there are chances of accidents or uncertain things. In those situations, we have stretchers at every campsite so, in an emergency, the porter will safely drop you at base camp where we can do further treatment.
4. High-Quality Trek Gears and Equipment Trekkaro is the only trekking company in the world which is providing Free Trekking Gear (FTG) at no charge/rent only for use during the treks. Expensive FTG includes Decathlon Quechua Trek 100 Shoes, Quechua SH 100/300 Jackets, Hiking Pole/Stick, Gaiters, and Crampons. Now, before registering for the trek, there is no need to think about the expensive trekking gear, and also, do not need to buy or rent expensive trekking gear to go on a trek.
Trekkaro team will ensure you with quality tents and sleeping bags where you can survive in extreme cold. We provide sleeping bags that can hold cold up to -5 to -20 degrees Celsius. It’s always warmer in tents so we ensure you with quality shelter.
So even though we are ready for the storm you should tell us if anything bothers you regarding safety.
5. Radio (for communication between camps and guides) Our camps are a bit far from each other. But they connect through radio though the network is the issue in hills. Although you miss anything or the weather is not good or we need medical help from the base we can communicate through radios.
6. Technical team on all snowy slopes All the treks come up with an adventure. But safety is important in all trails and treks. Wherever we find risky slopes or areas we ensure the turn with the technical team. As we already mentioned earlier we have a well-trained team having knowledge of handling hustles in emergencies and even know how to take care of the trekkers.
When you take an adventurous trek with us, then be assured that whatever we do is more than your expectations. In fact, our wish to excel goes beyond the point where your boots hit the trail – it begins the moment that you get in contact with us, and it never ends. There is nothing more satisfying than hearing from our trekkers that they’ve just had “another trip of a lifetime with Trekkaro”.

We get that at times it’s difficult (we plan to challenge you) and we get that at times it’s a bit uncomfortable (this is not a cruise trip). All we ask you to keep an open mind, a big smile on your face, and readiness for the unexpected.
• Physical preparedness Our treks are designed for everyday people. You definitely don’t have to be an athlete, but to be fair to yourself and your group members, you do need to be ready.
