# Trekkaro

> Trekkaro Adventures Pvt. Ltd. organises guided Himalayan treks in India (Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh) since 2018. Free Trekking Gear (Decathlon trekking shoes, a -10°C jacket, trekking poles, gaiters and microspikes; ₹3,000 refundable deposit + ₹200 washing) comes with most Trekkaro treks; on Chadar, Hampta Pass, Kashmir Great Lakes, Valley of Flowers, Bhrigu Lake and Rupin Pass Trekkaro gives free microspikes and gaiters instead. Fixed departures are capped at 20 trekkers and led by a certified trek leader.

## Policies

- **Free Trekking Gear:** Decathlon trekking shoes, a -10°C jacket, trekking poles, gaiters and microspikes, to use and return. ₹3,000 refundable deposit + ₹200 washing charge (+GST on washing) per person; the deposit is refunded by UPI within 2 working days of the gear check. Not on Chadar, Hampta Pass, Kashmir Great Lakes, Valley of Flowers, Bhrigu Lake and Rupin Pass: there Trekkaro gives free microspikes and gaiters (no deposit, no charge). - **Transport:** not included in the trek fee. Trekkaro helps the group book shared cabs, paid directly to the driver and split among trekkers. Exceptions: Hampta Pass includes Manali to Jobra, Chhatru to Chandratal and back, and Chhatru to Manali (travel to and from Manali is not included); Chadar includes Leh to the trek start and back (airport transfers are not included); Rupin Pass does not include transport, but shared cabs Shimla to Jiskun and Sangla to Shimla can be arranged at ₹3,500 per person for both ways, paid to the driver.
- **Cancellation:** 30 days or more before departure: 70% refund. 15 to 29 days: 50% refund. 8 to 14 days: no cash refund, but a 100% TrekCash voucher (valid 1 year), one free reschedule or a transfer to another trekker. In the 30+ and 15 to 29 day slabs the same voucher, reschedule or transfer can be taken instead of the cash refund. 7 days or less, or a no-show: no refund. - **Group size and booking:** at most 20 trekkers per batch, with 1 trek leader or guide for every 8 trekkers. Online booking for a batch closes at 5 PM (India time) the day before it starts.
- **Camping:** tents shared by 3 trekkers (men and women in separate tents) and -20°C sleeping bags.
- **Price:** per person, plus 5% GST.
